Kerry and Nick’s wedding was one I was looking forward to for a very long time. Nick and my brother have been great friends since highschool, so having the opportunity to photograph Nick’s wedding to Kerry was so special to us. They started with a gorgeous, formal Catholic Mass at St. James Cathedral and followed it up with a rockin’ party at The Palace Ballroom. 321 Foto was there with their awesome photo booth (that Ben and I enjoyed, as always!) and the gorgeous details were endless. Tamara of Simply by Tamara Nicole was on hand from start to finish and made sure everything ran smoothly. All in all a perfect day. Enjoy.
I sure do love a downtown wedding. Especially because I can get shoe shots like that.
Lovely, lovely Kerry. She just glowed.Gotta love a round of applause for the bride! And then she was off to see Nick for the first time in front of the Dahlia Lounge.I will admit that I did not make it through this moment with dry eyes.Favorite:Hey Kerry. You’re stunning.Couldn’t get enough of this blue mosaic wall for bridal party portraits.A sweet capture by Ben.While I took this shot!Love these two:And then we were at the church! Such an ornate, amazing cathedral.Lucky to have a dad who sews! Nick lost a button and his dad had a sewing kit on hand (!!) and was able to reattach it.Ceremony time.Right: Favorite.Love the expression on Kerry’s face in this one.A surprise married kiss in the middle of the ceremony! Glad we were on our toes!Favorite:Then it was time for some fun bridal party portraits on the grounds of St. James. Sweet Sounders socks, boys.Hugs from her ladies.Party bus! Perfect time for a selfie.Or a dance party! Go Nick! (I seriously, seriously love that guy. So much.)Hey, that’s my brother!Gorgeous cake meticulously executed by Carla of Honey Crumb Cake Studio. And a surprise groom’s cake (also by Carla). How great is that?!Bring on the details. Would you believe that Kerry and her girls did all of the centerpieces themselves?!Each table was named after a place Nick and Kerry have traveled together.I adored their stationery suite. Rings! On olives! What could be better?!Grand entrance.Nick’s reaction to seeing his groom’s cake for the first time. I think he liked it.Facial expressions during toasts are always my favorites.First dance. Left: favorite.Kerry’s dad surprised her with showing a video of their real first dance when Kerry was only 5-years old. So touching and a great surprise for Kerry.Yes, Nick wore a head lamp for garter removal. And then the dance floor was open and everyone was rocking out to Bamboo Beats. My brother and his lovely girlfriend Gina. Couldn’t resist. 🙂And finally a few casual, smoochy portraits outside the venue before we were off-duty for the night.Right: favorite.Cigars for the gents.Kisses for the bride from her sisters. And then we came back on-duty (after enjoying the party for a while) for the sparkler farewell.
