Last weekend Ben, Henry and I traveled down to Phoenix, Arizona for the wedding of Kyle & Ali. This is our second wedding in Arizona this year, and my second cousin who has gotten married! It has been such an honor and privilege to be chosen to document the most special days of two of my cousins’ lives.
Ali and Kyle’s wedding was absolutely stunning. Both the reception and ceremony were held at Villa Siena. If you haven’t been to Villa Siena before (as I’d assume most of my Seattle readers haven’t), you’d swear you’d been plunked right into the middle of Italy. The grounds are breathtaking, and while we didn’t spend too much time enjoying them (thanks to the 116 degree weather), they made for some beautiful backdrops.
Ali chose a lovely gown from Brides by Demetrios, and it suited her perfectly. The intricate beadwork and sweet ribbon hanging down the back were the charming little details that make a wedding dress so special.
She and her bridesmaids got ready at the Wild Horse Pass Resort, also in Chandler.
I love the emotion in this shot.

A nervous moment before “go” time.
I love Ali’s crinkly-nose smile. This was her very first glimpse of Kyle on the wedding day as she headed down the aisle.
They did it!
Following the ceremony we headed outside to brave the heat and get a few photos in the natural light.
Ali’s niece was so darling.
And a gratuitous shot of my cute little munchkin, being held by my step-dad.
The groomsmen received watches as gifts, so we had to get a shot of them together.
Have you ever seen a more dramatic ballroom?
Kyle’s one request for the wedding was mac ‘n cheese. He got his wish!
Laughing during toasts.
Then the fun was over and it was time to bid adieu to the newly married couple with a sparkler send-off.
Congratulations, Kyle and Ali! We love you!
