I’d like to introduce you all to a couple of darling girls, Jaime and Erica, who own Bitsy Events, an event-planning company here in Seattle. They’re fairly new on the scene and are incredibly talented. I asked a few questions I thought might give you a little peek into their business.

What inspired you to start an event coordinating business?
A backpacking trip through Italy is where our hearts said ‘follow me’. We have always known we were meant to use our talents in the event coordinating world – but it was on that trip, after a few glasses of wine, that we stimulated the inspiration to map our plan, strategize a vision and create something innovative. When we returned home – the trail blazing of ‘Bitsy’ began & we have yet to look back.
What are your favorite aspects of planning?
Every aspect! That’s why we do it. We each bring a unique design style to the table which helps us to create something that doesn’t just look good… it feels good. Many events help to tell a story; some of love, joy, inspiration, hard work and rejoice. We love to help tell the stories of our clients by reflecting their look, desire & feel throughout the event. Our specialty of custom made creations allows us to create something rare, something beautiful, but most of all something meaningful.
What are traits in clients that would make them a good fit for you?
Exciting! Fresh, chic, vigorous, open to new ideas, have a dash of daring charisma and most importantly should always allow humor along the way!
